Hi, I'm Owain Thomas, I specialize in branding and visual communications. I've worked in many arts, entertainment and multimedia industries including film /tv, e-commerce, the music industry, the political press, the fashion industry, as an artist selling paintings, a freelance designer and also as part a few design teams.
My most recent position was as Content Director for Majdell Group & Gary Majdell Sport providing creative direction for approximately 30 brands on Amazon, notably Wildflower Cases, NaturSource and Kelsi Dagger Brooklyn. Until recently I owned the Saint-Henri Shirt Co. which I sold to a local designer/retailer. This was a community project that took off in 2017 and continued to grow. Saint-Henri Shirt Co. was a great experience in management of business and production. Before this I led a small design team called Jack Branding.
In terms of training, I completed the Computer Animation Certification at Algonquin College in Ottawa in 2002, I completed a diploma in Addictions Education from McMaster University in 2012 and then in 2016 I completed a certification in Industrial Drafting at the Rosemont Technology Center. I've done more online courses and tutorials than I can count, I am a voracious autodidact.
