Bingham

I did this simple branding for Montreal based stand-up comedian Dan Bingham, I call the character "Surly Dan". After sketching out a bunch of cliche smiley, laughing comedy characters I stopped, stepped back and got real for a second and Surly Dan became the clear answer to the question "why does this suck?". I wanted to create a tongue in cheek play on the Obama "Hope" poster giving stoic strength to Surly Dans ill fated hopelessness.
