Montreal Entertainment

Maya Melata of the Montreal Entertainment Company hired me to design their visual identity. As soon as I met her I could tell she was a bright shining star and a natural entertainer. She was very clear about what she wanted and I was determined to deliver on her vision. She wanted black and gold as the colors, an "M" and a crown. I added the flourishes to the M to represent the tail feathers of a burlesque dancer. The lush regal feeling captures the ornate and exotic vibe of the company. My team worked with me to come up with patterns, textures and to create the style guide and Maya has been proudly using the logo for almost a decade now.
